On the first Sunday of every month we will be running Quiet at the Aquarium sessions during our final 1.5hours of opening. These sessions provide a quieter experience for those with Autism and other neurodiverse conditions.

Enjoy a Quieter Experience

Discover our range of fascinating creatures from sharks to seahorses while the centre is quieter to create a more enjoyable experience for those with sensory sensitivities. 

Please note this is a pre-booked tickets-only event, guests must purchase their tickets online in advance in order to gain entry.

Our centre music, hand driers and televisions will be switched off for the last 90 minutes of the day to provide a quieter experience around the aquarium. Please check our opening hours for the specific date of your visit to see our closing time. 

How to book

Quiet times at the aquarium run once a month and our dates for 2024 are:

  • Sunday 1st September
  • Sunday 6th October
  • Sunday 3rd November
  • Sunday 1st December
