Guided School Excursion Tour Information
One hour fully guided educational tour specifically design to align with the NEW Science & Technology Syllabus!
SEA LIFE Sydney's education team offer a range of exclusive guided tour programs. With a range of options available you will be able to develop the perfect day out of the classroom, for every school level.
Our Guided School Excursion Tours are suitable for all year levels from K-12!
These educational guided tours cover the LIVING WORLD strand and explores living things and their needs.
From Term 3 2024, we will be offering Guided School Excursion Tours in the following topic areas:
TOUR TOPICS
This guided tour highlights the wonder of the aquatic world and allows for a journey of discovery where, problem solving and care for the marine environment are encouraged and fostered. Students will recognise and compare the needs of living creatures including their homes and plants needed to survive.
This guided tour looks at the different life cycles of animals in aquatic environments and how they differ from plants. Students will describe the different stages of the life cycles of fish, sharks and mammals.
In this guided tour students will deepen their understanding of the differences between living, once living and products of living things by examining ocean artefacts and a range of unique organisms. Along with covering the three different adaptations animals and plants have to survive in the aquatic environment – structural, functional and behavioural. This tour also looks at relationships between animal structural and functional adaptations.
Session Times
We offer the following times for our guided school excursion tour times
- 10AM
- 11AM
- 12PM
These tours are caped at a max of 30 students per group. We can currently take 2 groups of 30 students per time slot.
Schools selecting to go with the guided tour option must arrive at least 20 mins before there allocated tour time. Late groups may risk missing their allocated tour time slot and may be subject to a shorter guided tour time.
Please note the guided educational tours are for one hour with an educator and is limited to a minimum of 10 students and maximum of 30 per tour. After your one hour guided tour, you may then self-guide for another hour with teachers and parent helpers assisting.

Australian school rates:
- $16.00 per student single entry during school terms when visiting with a school group for a self-guided tour
- Home School Rates: $16.00 per student for single entry during school terms; Accompanying Adult Rate: $18.50 per adult

The best bit? Combination bookings can be shared amongst your classes. Book in multiple excursions for different dates and other classes at your school can benefit from the reduced combination rates.
Booking numbers for all excursions included in a combination booking must be committed to at the time of booking in order to receive the discounted price. Our education team will book your date for your first attraction and will then take you through the process of booking the date and time for your additional attractions online.
