With your very own Aussie Animal Passport in hand, your journey will take you around Australia, where you will discover unique and iconic creatures and ‘stamp’ your passport as you go!

Each zone brings you face to face with some of Australia’s most incredible marine animals, offering fun, educational experiences for all ages.

  • Along the way, you’ll discover amazing facts about these marine creatures and learn about SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium’s conservation efforts. With fun activities and photo opportunities, your underwater adventure will be packed with excitement and knowledge.
  • Pig-nosed Turtle - No other turtle in the world looks like this one, thanks to its pig-shaped nose!
  • Little Penguin - Little penguins are the smallest penguin species and grow to approx. 30cm tall.
  • White’s Seahorse - The White's Seahorse is now endangered in NSW and is Australia’s only threatened seahorse species.
  • Southern Pygmy Perch - Southern Pygmy Perch are listed as Endangered in NSW.
  • Bridled Leatherjacket - Usually seen in large schools in Southern Australia. 
  • Dugong - Found mostly in Australia, Dugong are more closely related to elephants than to whales and dolphins.
  • Zebra Shark - Sometimes called Leopard Sharks, Zebra sharks live in shallow coral reef habitats in tropical waters.
  • Ocellated Eagle Ray - Ocellated eagle rays live in shallow, coastal waters and coral reefs.

With your Aussie Animal Passport in hand, get ready to meet iconic creatures while exploring 10 unique zones of Australian wildlife, including the kangaroo walkabout, koala rooftop, our nocturnal zone, and much more!

Each stop along the way offers the chance to learn fascinating facts about these creatures while discovering the important conservation efforts at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo. With interactive photo opportunities throughout, your passport to adventure will be packed with fun memories.

  • Short-beaked Echidna - The Short-beaked Echidna is an egg-laying mammal, also called a monotreme.
  • Bare-nosed Wombat - Bare-nosed Wombats are mainly nocturnal animals.
  • Southern Cassowary - Southern Cassowary are endangered. There are less than 4,600 left in the wild.
  • Kangaroo Island Kangaroo - Kangaroo tails are so powerful; they can hold their entire body weight while they kick.
  • Shingleback Lizard - Shingleback lizards are closely related to other blue-tongued lizards.
  • Freshwater Crocodile - Found in northern Australia in rivers, lagoons and billabongs.
  • Platypus - Platypus are eye-laying mammals, also known as monotremes. 
  • Eastern Quoll - Eastern Quolls are medium-sized, bushy-tailed nocturnal marsupials with dark fur and white spots.
