Shark Week Returns for 2016

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is celebrating Shark Week!

We are celebrating the return of Discovery Channel's Shark week and diving into the incredible yet misunderstood world of sharks! 

 

Did you know?

Australia is the home of sharks!

There are 182 of the 400 different species of sharks that call Australian waters home, including the Great White, Tiger, Bull and Oceanic White Tip shark! 

Swim in this December (only if you dare to) and come face-to-fin with some of our very own enormously JAW-SOME species. Face your fears at our Shark Valley, a 100 metre ocean-tunnel walk through where you will encounter our incredible Grey Nurse shark lurking amongst skeletal whale remains! There's no doubt that you will learn that there is a lot more than meets the eye with these magnificent creatures.

There is a large array of shark species that call SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium home. Some of our favourites include the Lemon shark, Black Tip Reef shark, White Tip Reef Shark, Wobbegong and the Grey Reef shark!

 

Tune into Shark Week on the Discovery Channel...

...with premiere titles every night from Sunday, 4th December at 8:30pm (AEDT/NZDT)!

This jaw-some 24/7 event will explore these mighty creatures of the deep with 14 headline shows at 8:30pm and 9:30pm every night. The line up even includes two documentaries filmed on our very own shores of Australia and are narrated by Shark Week host, Andrew 'ET' Ettingshausen; Isle of Jaws and Super Predator!
