To celebrate Plastic Free July this month, we are encouraging Sydney-siders to #FillABag to help keep Sydney and our waterways beautiful!

Simply collect a bag full of rubbish from a nearby beach, riverbank, park or even down the street then upload a picture on your Facebook and Instagram and tag @sealifesydneyaquarium and include the #FillABag hashtag. As a way of saying thank you for your efforts we want you to enjoy discounted entry to the aquarium. Present your #FillABag photo to our staff when purchasing your ticket at the admissions counter to redeem 20% off our full priced adult and child tickets*.

So, get together with your family and friends this Plastic Free July, collect a bag of rubbish and clean up Sydney.

What else are you doing for Plastic Free July you ask? 

When you visit the aquarium these July school holidays keep an eye out for some fun activities to help promote Plastic Free July:

• Visit conservation quay to partake in building a colourful Bottle top Lid Mural. Designed by one of our talented staff members to showcase the different types of plastic we throw away each day as well as highlight our REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE mission. 
• While in Conservation Quay Ask our team about our Enviro-bag design station. Make a small donation at our fundraising station to receive your Enviro-bag and all proceeds will go to the SEA LIFE Trust who lead marine conservation projects around the world. Note that times for this may vary. 
• Then take your bag to our Interactive Hub and decorate your re-usable bag as a keep-sake of your visit. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for timings  
• Finally, relax at our cafe with a coffee! Have your own reusable coffee cup? Awesome! Grab a coffee for only $2. No cup? No worries. If you purchase a keep cup at the  SEA LIFE Café or Gift shop receive your coffee for FREE.
