Pig Turns 15

There's nothing quite like a teenagers birthday to get everybody on edge. You don't know how they will react to their presents or whether you have invited their cool friends, and the problems are just the same for our dugong handlers at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium.

This Tuesday our beloved Pig celebrated his 15th birthday and we have been worried we would get it wrong for weeks!

Despite our concerns however, Pig loved his birthday cake made from fresh cos lettuce and when it came to inviting only his cool friends…well who better to help you celebrate your birthday than your fellow dugong Wuru and thousands of our amazing guests at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium.

Pig is your standard teenager - he sulks when we don't pay enough attention to him, he wants all his fellow marine animals to know he is the most important person in his tank and he never stops eating. But just like every relationship between a teenager and those that love him, we wouldn't change one thing about him.

So, if you want to come wish Pig a very happy birthday, come down to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium this week. You may even get one of his famous waves!
