School holidays are here again: Parents get stressed, children get excited and the leftovers from Christmas have finally run out. Here at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium we know the holidays can be a stressful time for everyone so we have decided to take a different tact and not try and sell you on anything or make you panic that someone is enjoying their summer more than your family. Instead we have decided to introduce you to our cutest new resident: Punk, the Pig-Nosed Turtle. We hope he washes away any holiday blues you were experiencing.
A member of the SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium family for just over a month, the little guy has melted the hearts of his handlers and the public alike. Weighing only 119 grams with a shell just 95 millimetres in diameter, Punk is easily the smallest turtle in our tanks, but he also draws the most attention.
A Heart-Melting Turtle!
Every day crowds line up outside the Mangroves section of SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium to watch this mesmerising creature excitedly explore his tank as he paddles around his fishy pals - who have welcomed their newest member with open fins!
