Getting Here
Getting to, from and navigating around Darling Harbour is easy-peasy. You can get there by train, bus, light rail or ferry, or, if you’re on foot, it’s a short walk from the centre of the city. If you’re coming by car, there are secure car parks in and around the area.
Things to See and Do
The best way to experience the essence of a city is to walk the streets; having no agenda leaves more room for life to happen. And Sydney is no exception – there are discoveries around every corner; quirky shops, delicious food, and beautiful green spaces. Because of its central location, Darling Harbour has a lot of great neighbouring areas, such as Barangaroo, Pyrmont and Chinatown, all within walking distance. Meander through them all for a great slice of Sydney, and don’t forget to try some noodles somewhere along the way.

Tumbalong Park
This 5-hectare park is packed with play areas; slide, swings and an octanet that’s 10 metres tall. After all the climbing and sliding, the kids can hit the water park which features 26 water jets and scoops, to splish splash the day away.

Paddy's Markets
In the heart of Haymarket, this buzzing spot has a host of weird and wonderful wares on offer. From clothes, homewares, gifts and gadgets to fresh fruit and veggies that have been sold here for over 100 years. Seafood fans can get their feast too, with everything from fish to prawns, as well as all the deep sea delicacies. And, if you’re looking for a souvenir of your visit to Sydney, Paddy’s is a trinket mecca.
With over 13,000 magnificent creatures, this watery attraction is split up into themed aquarium habitat zones; Jurassic Seas, Penguin Expedition, the hands-on Discovery Rockpool, Shark Valley, Dugong Island and Sydney Harbour.
Goods Line
This partly elevated urban walkway starts at the end of the Devonshire Street Tunnel at Central Station. Follow the old train track for 500 metres to find out all about Sydney’s industrial past. Taking you to Darling Harbour, it traces the route of the railway line that once operated. Bring your camera to capture the architecture and city life along the way.
See Australian animals at this fantastic fauna attraction that’s split up into themed zones; Kangaroo Walkabout, Butterfly Tropics, Devil’s Den, Gumtree Valley, Wallaby Cliffs and Nightfall. Don’t miss the Daily keeper talks and animal feeds that take place throughout the day.
