The 3-hour experience will be guided by one of SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast’s marine specialists, who will offer fascinating insights on animal behaviour, husbandry, and dedicated conservation efforts. This experience will be limited to 2 people so will be a unique opportunity to deep dive into the world of these amazing marine creatures.
This experience is available on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Seal Swim: Jump in with our playful seals during a Seal Swim as you experience the thrill of swimming alongside these graceful marine mammals. Feel the rush of excitement as you witness their agility and curiosity up close. *Please note that you might be joined by other guests for this part of the experience.
Penguin Encounter: Get ready to meet our charming little blue penguins during a Penguin Encounter and engage in a unique hand-feeding experience. Watch in awe as these adorable creatures come as close as it gets and interact with you. *Please note that you might be joined by other guests for this part of the experience.

Further Details
- This experience is for ages 13+
- For any participants under 16, parents will either have to accompany them by purchasing a General Admission Ticket or sign a waiver at drop off
- Under 16 will be able to take part in the experiences, however won't be able to walk through the aquarium afterwards, unless supervised by an adult
- This experience is available on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- There are only 2 spaces available per session, so pre-bookings are essential
- Please arrive at the aquarium at 9am
- This is a proposed timeline with subject to change. Our reservations department will give you all the details once you have booked.
- 9am Staff pick up from front desk
- Introduction to trainers and safety briefing and orientation
- 9.15am Seal Enrichment Session
- 9.30am Listen to penguin talk from inside the habitat and take part in a penguin enrichment session. Then help keeper prep fish for encounter.
- 9.45am Penguin Encounter- tour with other booked guests of penguin Behing the Scenes Tour and feed penguins
- 10:15am Opportunity to grab a snack from the café then help bring in seals and prep for a Seal Presentation
- 10.30am Watch Seal Presentation
- 10.50am Seal Photo
- 11:00am Seal Swim experience- tour and swim
- 11.45am Seal Training Session (depending on animal availability)
- 12:00 Finish - free time to explore the aquarium
