Fire at The Wharf Mooloolaba

A fire broke out at The Wharf Mooloolaba last night (13/10/2013).   An evacuation plan was implemented for The Wharf and the adjacent attraction, UnderWater World at 5pm. 

 

All guests, staff and the public were evacuated safely and there were no injuries.

 

The fire appears to have started externally to the building and was contained by fire crews to a small area of The Wharf.  One retail tenancy in The Wharf has been affected by the fire.

 

The fire will be investigated today by emergency services.

 

The fire has not affected nearby UnderWater World. UnderWater World will open today (14/10/2013) as usual at 9am. Our full opening times info can be found here.

 

The Wharf will open today, however some areas will be cordoned off as emergency services continue their investigation.
