About the Lanternfish
- Lanternfish are deep-sea fish and have a small and slender body and a relatively large, round head.
- Special about them: All types of the lanternfish have light-organs that run in rows along the body and the head. They emit blue, green or yellow light!
- It is assumed that the light organs play an important role in wooing for partners.
