Armed with a treasure map, the children embark on an adventurous search for the hidden treasure. Have a lot of fun getting to know the underwater inhabitants and experience sharks and rays up close.
Whether on a guided treasure hunt or on your own through the depths of the SEA LIFE Munich, fun is guaranteed at the children's birthday party in Munich's large aquarium.
Our treasure hunt can be carried out in three different age groups. While the big ones solve tricky tasks, the little ones look for hidden clues in the aquarium.
Those who successfully complete the mission and find the treasure will be rewarded and can celebrate afterwards in our "fin room"!

What is included in the birthday package:

This package is only valid for one adult and up to six children aged 4 to 14. The birthday package can only be booked online and cannot be cancelled.
Additional people can only be booked on site:
- Additional children: 12.50€ per child
- Additional adults: 12.50€ per person
- Accompanying children under 2 years: free of charge
Please note that for safety reasons the maximum number of persons is 15 persons in total.

Exciting treasure hunt through the underwater world
Our staff will personally welcome your birthday group to the "Fins Room" and explain the treasure hunt. To be prepared for the mission, you will be given a treasure map and a search assignment. Now you have to find clues hidden throughout the aquarium to find the answers. Only this will put you on the right track to the hidden treasure chest.
We offer two different storylines for the treasure hunt:
- "The Search for the Pirate's Treasure"
- "The Secret of the Mermaid"
The age of the children is also taken into account. So there are two different versions of the respective storylines - depending on whether most of the children in the birthday group can read:
- up to 7 years
- 8 years and older
Please note that the treasure hunt is not supervised by our staff. At least one accompanying adult per birthday group must be present and supervise the group.

Experience shows that children aged between 4-12 years have the most fun at SEA LIFE Munich.
The minimum age for children's birthday parties is 4 years. In our experience, the treasure hunt is not yet suitable for younger children. The birthday package is for children up to 14 years.
We offer two different versions of our treasure hunt for children's birthday parties:
- Children up to 7 years, who cannot yet read
- Children from 8 years who can already read
When booking the children's birthday party online, please choose the version that applies to the majority of the children present.
To cover the different interests, we offer the treasure hunt with two different themes:
- "The search for the pirate's treasure"
- "The secret of the mermaid"
Yes, a children's birthday party can be held at SEA LIFE Munich regardless of the weather, as our aquarium is indoors.
In addition, we provide you with a room for the entire booking period (2.5 hours) that you can use for your party: the "Fins Room". Here you can store your wardrobe and get together to celebrate after your treasure hunt.
During the booked time and day, you bring your birthday group to the entrance of SEA LIFE Munich. There you will be greeted by our welcoming crew and upon showing your online booking, be brought to the "Fins room".
This room is at your disposal for 2.5 hours. Here you can store your belongings (we assume no liability!).
After the welcome, you will be given a short introduction about the treasure hunt and the necessary materials. And off you go on your own exciting treasure hunt through SEA LIFE Munich!
Once you have solved the riddle, a reward awaits you at the end!
After the treasure hunt, you can use the "Fins Room" for a little birthday picnic until your booked time is up.
Yes, you may come directly to the entrance as a birthday group and walk past the waiting visitors so you're registered on time for your booked appointment.

We recommend that you arrive some time before your booked appointment.
No, the birthday group will receive a welcome from our staff and a short explanation of the treasure hunt.
However, the treasure hunt itself is then undertaken by the group on their own - which is why at least one adult supervisor is necessary.
Yes, after your treasure hunt, you are welcome to come together in our "Fins Room" for a little birthday picnic until your booked time is over. We will provide you with a table as well as crockery, cutlery, drinking cups and napkins.
You are welcome to bring your own table decoration and set it up yourself. Unfortunately, it is not possible to decorate the "Fins Room" individually.
Snacks, birthday cake and drinks must be provided by you. These cannot be cooled or heated on site!
In our souvenir shop you can also buy various soft drinks, cocoa and coffee drinks as well as small snacks.
In the aquarium itself, during the treasure hunt, food brought along cannot be consumed for hygienic reasons (except baby food).
Please note that candles, sparklers, table fireworks and other pyrotechnics are prohibited!
We don't organise themed birthday parties, but these can of course take place at our centre. For example, you can invite all the children to come dressed as jellyfish, sharks, clownfish or even pirates.
You are welcome to bring your own table decorations and set them up yourself. Unfortunately, it is not possible to decorate the "Fins Room" individually.

You are welcome to bring your own Bluetooth speaker to play music.

Yes, you are allowed to take photos in our aquarium. However, please make sure to turn off the flash beforehand, as our sea creatures are very sensitive to bright light.
Of course, you can also have great souvenir photos taken at our photo point. Optionally, you can book a digital photo package for the birthday group when booking online.
The birthday package already includes a small surprise for each child.
In addition, you can book a small gift bag for each child when booking online. This contains three items from our gift shop (a small soft toy, a small toy and an animal postcard). Additional gift bags can also be purchased on site.
Of course, you can also bring your own gift bags for the children. However, they must be already packed and not too big. Our staff is more than happy to deposit them as "treasure" in our birthday treasure chest.
Alternatively, you can of course buy small items for the children in the shop after the treasure hunt.

Yes, if you want to celebrate a child's birthday with us, it must be booked online.
We offer a booking slot in the afternoon during the week:
- 14:30 - 17:00
At weekends, during the Bavarian school holidays and on public holidays, you can choose between three different booking slots:
- 09:30 - 12:00
- 12:30 - 15:00
- 15:30 - 18:00
Please note that your preferred time may already be booked. The earlier you book, the more likely your preferred time will still be available.
Unfortunately, we do not have an English online booking portal. You can book through the German birthday page from the button provided above.
You can rebook the birthday party up to the day before the planned visit.
The prerequisites for rebooking are:
- The tickets cannot be cancelled.
- A free rebooking is possible up to 3 times.
- The rebooking must be made before the original booking date.
- After the date of the visit has passed, no further adjustments are possible.
- For the rebooking you need your booking confirmation number as well as the e-mail address with which the booking was made. You enter this data in the booking portal.
We provide you with our "Fins Room" for 2.5 hours of the children's birthday party. You can use the room as a cloakroom or for a birthday picnic after the treasure hunt.
Afterwards we clean the room and prepare it for the next birthday group. You don't have to clean the room yourself, our staff will be happy to do that for you.
Please note: So that cleaning can be done quickly and easily, soap bubbles and confetti are forbidden! For fire safety reasons, candles, sparklers, table fireworks and other pyrotechnics are also prohibited!
