Jump on Ice with Penguins

Grab your passport - Penguin Passport that is! It’s your ticket to a once-in-a-lifetime penguin encounter with SEA LIFE Melbourne’s colony of King and Gentoo penguins.

Suited up in sub-Antarctic snow gear, you’ll head on to the ice where you will have the incredible opportunity to get up close to our colony of majestic penguins. You’ll also have the opportunity to go behind the scenes and see the food preparation and veterinary areas, as well as learn about our state-of-the-art exhibit which makes our birds the coolest in Melbourne – literally!

Behind the Scenes and Glass Bottom Boat Tour

In this unique experience, you’ll get Melbourne’s most unique water view as you hop aboard the glass bottom boat and see all of the underwater action from above our 2.2 million litre oceanarium. Get a VIP view of our sharks, rays and hundreds of other colourful fish. You also get to see how our aquarium operates behind the scenes with a unique glimpse into the life of an Aquarist by watching us hand feed our enormous and curious smooth rays.  Explore the food preparation areas, vet lab and dive zones on our Behind the Scenes and Glass Bottom Boat tour.

Shark Dive Extreme

Are you bit more of an adrenaline junky? Then our Melbourne shark diving experience is for you! It doesn’t get much more exhilarating than coming face-to-face with a shark. Oh, and you’re not in a cage, by the way. That’s right, you will dive straight into the open water of our 2.2 million litre oceanarium.
