A-ray-zing spooky scenes as pumpkin special arrives at SEA LIFE London Aquarium

The fin-tastic team at SEA LIFE London Aquarium made a splash diving headfirst into the Halloween spirit! Before the aquarium opened its doors this morning, our daring divers took a plunge into the famous Open Oceans habitat to celebrate spooky season with the creatures.

The highlight of the dive was a beautifully carved pumpkin, featuring the intricate design of one of the aquarium’s main attractions, the Green Sea Turtles. This underwater adventure drew the attention of the curious residents, especially the Ocellated Eagle Rays who were seen going in for a closer look, even going in for a taste!

A pumpkin, featuring the SEA LIFE London Aquarium logo, also caught the attention of Bowser, our resident snapping turtle. While the Ocellated Eagle Rays were not ready to leave the pumpkins alone, the sharks remained unfazed, proving that nothing could spook them!

SEA LIFE London Aquarium’s General Manager Catherine Pritchard said: “We're diving into the Halloween spirit here at SEA LIFE London Aquarium! Our team decided to treat our creatures to a spooktacular surprise with a carved pumpkin of their own. Watching our creatures join in on the festive fun is always a fang-tastic time.” 

Fear not Halloween enthusiasts, as you too can embark on a journey of amazing discovery and splash into SEA LIFE London Aquarium to join Serafina the Sea Witch for a frighteningly fun time. Serafina, who lovingly cares for her ocean home, has conjured up some magical challenges to find those worthy to join her army of ocean defenders.
