Ray Breeding

Rays are inquisitive relatives of the shark. Our Ray Breeding programme will help you learn more about these incredible creatures and spot the endangered species.

Since 2009, fishermen have been prohibited from taking Undulate Rays from EU waters.

We breed two different species. Southern Stingrays are common around the tropical and subtropical waters of the southern Atlantic Ocean, and they naturally breed on their own in our aquarium.
