This 30-minute interactive experience is a guest favorite! The guided tour immerses you in our world of feeding and caring for our creatures. This special behind the scenes experience allows you to discover how we create an ocean right here in the heart of Charlotte-Concord.
Know Before You Go
Beyond The Surface is operating periodically, please check with the Admissions Desk during your visit for available times.
- Beyond The Surface tours are approximately 30 minutes long
- Guests must arrive for scheduled tour time to ensure tour admission
- Maximum tour group limit is 15, tour may include guests from other parties
- SEA LIFE Admission Ticket or Annual Pass is required to attend Beyond The Surface tour
- See a SEA LIFE staff member if you miss your tour time
Where To Go
- To take your Beyond The Surface tour, please arrive across from Doodle Reef and Kids Tables to wait for the host, at least five minutes before the scheduled start of the tour.
Safety on SEA LIFE Beyond The Surface Tours
- Capacity is limited at 15 guests per tour
- Tour may include guests from other parties
- Animals are not permitted on the Beyond The Surface Tours
- We encourage you not to bring guests under 2, due to safety concerns, loud noises, and dim lighting.
- Strollers are not permitted on our Beyond The Surface Tours, unless medically necessary.
Additional Information
- Beyond The Surface tours do not include admission to SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord and admission must be purchased separately.
