Curriculum Relevance

Risk assessment & Teacher Ratios
To ensure a safe and well-supervised visit, we provide free teacher tickets based on student numbers, with additional teachers at a discounted rate of £16,05 per person. You’ll need to complete your own risk assessment for your visit to National SEA LIFE Birmingham. Our risk assessment guide highlights potential hazards and control measures to help you prepare. To ensure all supervising adults are ready, please review this framework before your trip.

Getting there
SEA LIFE Birmingham is located right in the heart of Birmingham in Brindleyplace, on the Water's Edge. We're only two minutes away from LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham. Coaches will be able to drop off school groups on Sheepcote Street which is a 5 minute walk from the aquarium.

Opening hours
The aquarium opening times vary through the year, we recommend checking our opening and closing times before visiting. *Please note our education rates are not available on weekends and on specific dates during the 2024/2025 academic year.

Planning tickets
As part of your school visit booking, you can opt to receive two teacher planning tickets. These are strictly for teachers of the school to conduct their pre-visit assessments. Once you have submitted your booking form, you will receive your teacher planning tickets in a separate email. You can redeem your teacher planning tickets when taking your booking reference number and School ID to the admissions team at National SEA LIFE Birmingham.

Facilities
We have two sets of toilet facilities around the aquarium, all of which have baby changing facilities and disabled facilities.
