Sea Life Kelly Tarlton's celebrates a milestone

Today we said the biggest happy birthday to our oldest King penguin, Pops!
Pops has a gentle and quiet nature and can be found helping out the baby King penguins. He has been a father figure to a lot of the birds here at Sea Life Kelly Tarlton's and is doing well for his age.
Pops hatched on the 6th March 1988 and made the big trip from San Diego to New Zealand in 1994.
King penguins generally live up to 15-20 years in the wild so it is great to see Pops doing so well. Don't be too surprised if you see a few more milestones being celebrated in the coming months!
