SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium is the place to be this school holiday with an incredible sea cave adventure for everyone to enjoy! Sea Cave Adventure is SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s newest exhibit, brought to life in January, with the support of the Department of Conservation.
Kids and adults alike can journey through a portal of discovery to learn all about the Hauraki Gulf’s marine life, the threats to its future and how to help protect it. Within this interactive, hands on, exploration zone there are fun and exciting learning opportunities at every turn.
As well as face painting, activity sheets and colouring in stations, guests can encounter native eel, starfish and crab species, and discover crayfish that are now functionally extinct in the Hauraki Gulf. Learn about fascinating native marine species, take part in interactive games, get your hands wet in the touch pools and enjoy the slide in a Sea Cave Adventure like no other.
SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s is also home to magnificent sand tiger sharks, rescued sea turtles undergoing rehabilitation, New Zealand’s only colony of sub-Antarctic penguins, hundreds of different fish species, and many more marine creatures to inspire guests to love the ocean and its inhabitants.
