Meet Calvin the rescue turtle ahead of World Turtle Day

SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium is introducing its newest rescue turtle ahead of World Turtle Day on Thursday 23 May, reminding the public of the dangers facing sea turtles in the wild and the need for protection and conservation.

Calvin the Green Sea Turtle was severely ill when he was rescued on Ninety Mile Beach in late 2018. The team at SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s have nursed him back to health over the past six months and Calvin is now ready to make his debut on public display, where he will stay until he is well enough to be released back into the wild later this year.
